Patek Philippe has boldly released its Cubitus Collection, the brand’s first new model lineup in 25 years. This collection, priced between $41,250 and $88,380, introduces a striking 45mm square case, a sharp departure from Patek’s traditional designs. Unveiled by Patek president Thierry Stern at a private event in Munich, the Cubitus Collection signals the brand’s continued shift toward the sports watch category while maintaining its hallmark elegance.
The Patek Cubitus Collection features three models: the technical Cubitus Instantaneous Grand Date, Day and Moon Phases in platinum and two minimalist designs in steel and two-tone steel and rose gold. The square case with rounded corners and horizontal relief embossing on the dial showcases a modern aesthetic. At the same time, the platinum model boasts intricate mechanics, including a new self-winding movement with six patented mechanisms.
The two simpler models, with blue and olive-green sunburst dials, feature a more streamlined design that appeals to fans of luxury sports watches. While the 45mm size may seem bold, these models are sleek and wearable, thanks to their 8.3mm thickness and refined proportions.
Though the design has stirred debate among traditionalists, the collection’s combination of technical innovation and modern styling offers something unique to collectors and newcomers alike. Available now, the Patek Philippe Cubitus Collection is a statement piece for anyone looking to add a standout timepiece to their collection.
