Take it back to the streets with the Nike Alphina 5000. These sneakers capture the essence of the 2000s, from the toe right on back to the heel. The sneakers feature a clean, white canvas to start with, and then strips of bold color stretch around the shoe like bold cloth wrapped around the design. Over top is the Nike swoosh, but instead of printed or stitched on, this logo is a separate piece of material, attached to the shoe with buttons. It gives the shoe an interesting additional layer of texture.
These sneakers are the embodiment of fun and let you go back to your youth with a quintessential 2000s getup. The Nike Alphina 5000 bases its design on the Bowerman running shoes released in the early in that decade but is enhanced by incorporating Flywire material. If you’re feeling a bit more subdued and maybe don’t want the bold color throughout the sneaker, there is a light gray version with a clear Nike logo. All of the color here is limited to a small, peek-a-boo dab of color poking up from the sole.
