The 100-meter dash has long been thought of as the true measure for the fastest humans on the planet. Sprinters have turned to a countless number of track and field shoes with advanced designs to help them perform. Yet, none have achieved what the Nike Air Zoom Viperfly has. This pair of running shoes is designed just for the 100-meter dash. Nike accomplishes this by building the upper portion of the sneakers out of Atomknit, a new, enhanced version of its Flyknit material and a sole engineered to optimize responsiveness.

It looks unlike any other pair of running shoes you’ve ever seen. Its sole emulates the backward angled solenoglyphous fangs of a viper. The front spikes use a new carbon plate, allowing for varying flexibility within the spiked plate. This allows the runner to experience greater responsiveness with their sneakers and improved energy when pushing off the ground. It takes all the force of the foot when pushing off with the toes and forces it out. This way, wasted energy is not lost in the heel of the shoe.

The sneakers use a heel lockdown design and cut material waste to give you a streamlined fit that no other runner on the market can match.
