Belgium-based e-bike manufacturer Cowboy unveiled a new model to its lineup called the Cruiser. This new electric bicycle is the result of feedback from urban riders requesting a more “upright” style to improve posture while increasing visibility. The company listened and created the Cowboy Cruiser e-bike while, at the same time, being heavily inspired by the Dutch urban riding community.
The Cruiser is built on a lightweight aluminum frame with a raised and curved handlebar featuring new comfort grips. This style of handlebar encourages a more ergonomic hand position. Meanwhile, the saddle seat is wider, creating a larger seating surface for extra comfort. Plus, the e-bike’s carbon belt-drive transmission uses a higher gear ratio to promote a more effortless riding experience.
Standard features include hydraulic disc brakes with integrated front and rear bike lights. In addition to puncture resistance, 47mm tires are accented with mudguards. Powering the Cruiser’s removable 360-Wh battery pack is a 250W motor integrated into the rear wheel, producing 33 pound-feet of torque. Cowboy estimates the Cruiser e-bike offers a range of 25 to 50 miles per charge.
Pricing for the US market has not been confirmed, but the Cowboy Cruiser e-bike is available to order on its site and is offered in multiple colors.
