The Netflix 2021 Movie Preview Trailer Gives Us A Peek Into The 70 Original Movies That Will Be Streaming This Year

Between the dizzying number of stars and original movies being offered by Netflix in 2021, there will be no excuse to be bored.

It is anyone’s guess when movie theaters will reopen but, in the meantime, Netflix gives us 70 reasons to look forward to 2021. The streaming service has just revealed its 2021 impressive slate of original movies to look forward to. Every week throughout 2021 Netflix will offer a new movie to enjoy. With over 200 million subscribers, Netflix clearly knows what its viewers want, and the films being offered are, quite frankly, mind-blowing. The recently released trailer previews this year’s movies, which includes, but is not even remotely limited to, Adam McKay’s Don’t Look Up starring Leonardo DiCaprio (and a massive ensemble), Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead, the third entries in The Kissing Booth and To All the Boys trilogies, R.L. Stine’s Fear Street trilogy, the long-delayed The Woman in the Window starring Amy Adams, and so much more.

Among the vast number of stars bringing their work to Netflix this year include Sandra Bullock, Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba, Meryl Streep, Zendaya, Jennifer Lawrence, Ryan Reynolds, Jennifer Garner, Gal Gadot, Dave Bautista, Naomi Watts, Jake Gyllenhaal, John David Washington, and Octavia Spencer. Johnson, Reynolds, and Gadot are set to star in Red Notice, a thriller that was originally set up at Universal as a theatrical release. However, Netflix stepped in and put up the huge budget instead to get the trio of big stars for themselves.

Also on the streaming service this year will be the directorial debut of Lin-Manuel Miranda with the musical Tick, Tick…Boom! and Halle Berry with the mixed martial arts drama Bruised, as well as the family movie Yes Day starring Jennifer Garner. We can also look forward to another foray into action with Jason Momoa’s revenge thriller Sweet Girl, and Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy’s sci-fi time travel adventure, The Adam Project. There are still so many more movies and stars to list, and this does not even include all the original TV projects set to debut on Netflix over the next 12 months. Suffice it to say, 2021 will be anything but boring.
