Montblanc is known for its fine writing instruments and various luxury accessories. One of the brand’s dedicated line of pens is its ‘Great Characters Series,’ which debuted in 2009. From the Beatles and Walt Disney to John F. Kennedy, Montblanc has created one-of-a-kind tribute pieces to these notable individuals and many others, celebrating their contributions to society. In 2021, Montblanc released the Great Characters Enzo Ferrari Edition, an ideal gift for pen and race car enthusiasts. Paying tribute to Ferrari’s eminent founder, Enzo Ferrari.
Montblanc followed this tribute by introducing three new specialized writing instruments to its Great Characters Series – the Montblanc ENZO FERRARI Special Edition Giallo Modena Pens. Drawing inspiration from the crest of Enzo Ferrari´s hometown of Modena and the emblematic color of the Scuderia´s logo, this edition honors Ferrari´s second soul – the color yellow.
These pens encapsulate the visionary aesthetics and technical innovation of Italy’s most prestigious car manufacturer in a series of ballpoint, rollerball, and fountain pen designs. Inspired by the pioneering work of the brand’s founder, Enzo Ferrari, each pen reflects his legacy through the striking use of color and Scuderia’s logo.
With the bright yellow color dominating each pen, the Montblanc ENZO FERRARI Special Edition Giallo Modena Pens also feature an engraving of the date of Enzo Ferrari’s birth to commemorate his memory and serve as a reminder of his achievements. An additional finishing touch is included on the fountain pen, which features the iconic steering wheel of the Ferrari 250 GTO with Enzo’s nickname, Pilota, inscribed on the nib.
Enzo Ferrari’s motto, ” You cannot describe passion; you can only live it,” is inscribed on the rollerball and ballpoint editions clip. The Montblanc emblem crowns each edition as a tribute to the crest of Modena. Made from precious blue resin, it is surrounded by metalwork inspired by the vintage car grills characteristic of Enzo’s design ethos, providing an apt summary of the philosophy behind the collaboration.
