Despite widespread assumptions to the contrary, historians doubt that Mark Twain ever really singled out the coldest winter he ever spent as a summer in San Francisco. But if you’ve ever spent the day in one of San Francisco’s beautiful hillside parks, you know just how cutting the wind in this city can be. Headquartered in San Francisco’s historic Mission District, Mission Workshop had every reason to create a lightweight jacket of exceptional warmth.

The Mission Workshop Northmar Primaloft Jacket is composed of lightweight stretch-woven fabric, wind-resistant polyester, and PrimaLoft insulation to shelter you from the cold. With 80 grams per square meter of PrimaLoft in the torso area and 60 grams per square meter in each arm, this jacket is ideal for temperatures as low as 55°F.

Want more warmth and protection? Layer the Northmar jacket under a Mission Workshop rain shell, and you can easily brave serious rain and temperatures as low as 20°F.
