MING, the innovative Swiss watchmaker, has unveiled its latest timepiece, the MING 29.01 Worldtimer, the spiritual successor to the brand’s 19.02 Worldtimer. The new watch, priced at $21,500, will be produced in an edition of only 100 pieces and will be exclusively available via the company’s website.

The MING 29.01 Worldtimer has a new organic form with a seamless dial that appears to float at different levels over a 24-hour disc. The metallic dial rotates on a peripheral ball-bearing track, with a blue-to-black gradient representing day and night. The watch’s sapphire upper dial and sapphire hands, both laser-etched and filled with HyCeram X1, provide great luminosity and nighttime visibility.

The 29.01 Worldtimer’s unconventional case is physically larger at 40mm and visually larger due to the lack of a bezel and 34mm dial. Short lugs keep the watch comfortably wearable on a wide range of wrist sizes. The deep sapphire box on the front serves as both crystal and bezel and is bonded seamlessly to the grade 5 titanium case body.

The MING 29.01 Worldtimer has a second-generation movement, the Schwarz-Etienne microrotor automatic, with an all-new bridge design by MT. It is even more open, airy, and transparent, with many unique features that bring it in line with the brand’s latest design language.

As with all flagship pieces, the MING 29.01 Worldtimer is a great example of a strong group of partners coming together. The watch comes with a Dark Blue Alcantara strap by Jean Rosseau Pariso, as well as an additional Jean Rousseau strap of the customer’s choice, and the leather travel pouch is handmade in Kuala Lumpur by Studio Koji Sato.

The MING 29.01 Worldtimer is available for pre-order on the company’s website, with a 50% deposit and the balance due on delivery. Deliveries are expected to commence in March 2024, with a two-year limited mechanical warranty.
