MiiR gives us a peek into their new shatterproof, insulated MiiR Standard Carafe on Kickstarter. With over $42,000 pledged from over 320 backers and close to two months left, the company is well on its way to reaching its goal of $50,000. MiiR says that simple problems can have simple solutions. In other words, the MiiR New Standard Carafe is the company’s response to traditional glass carafes. Glass shatters. It also sheds heat. The Standard Carafe doesn’t. MiiR says it’s because their carafe’s double wall and vacuum-insulated stainless-steel vessel can keep hot beverages warm for hours. Not only that, but Miir is a brand that commits to using responsible materials in its design.
The company says each Standard Carafe uses medical grade 18/8 stainless steel, a 100% post-consumer recycled plastic collar, and a press-fit lid. The MiiR New Standard Carafe holds 33 ounces of coffee (one liter). MiiR also manufactures premium paper carafe filters to remove oils and sediment and enhance infusion time. The carafe press-fit lid tops it off to keep coffee piping hot after brewing. Finally, the MiiR Standard Carafe provides a limited lifetime warranty against the manufacturer’s defect. MiiR says it will replace any product if it has defective materials or quality.
