The Mercedes-Benz 190 preceded the C-Class of today as the “Baby Benz,” being in production for around 10 years for a good majority of the 80’s. Its boxy shape became iconic for the German brand as did the over-engineered vehicle solidify Mercedes’ reputation. Based on the Baby Benz, the German manufacturer introduced the Mercedes-Benz 190 2.5-16V Evo II in 1990. Built to meet the DTM homologation requirement with 500 units with the help of Cosworth and AMG, the 190 Evo II became an instant classic thanks to its race car pedigree and exclusivity.

For those that wanted to live out their DTM fantasies on the road today, a pristine low-milage example has turned up on e-bay. This single owner vehicle with only 10,922 original miles is No. 345 of 500, and can be yours for $279,000. It’s a hefty price, but original examples are difficult to find these days. One caveat for those who live in California; it’s not road legal in your state as the car is not a US spec car. So, if you have around $300,000 laying around just waiting to be spent and live outside of California, you can follow the link above.
