A new member joins the Mercedes-AMG GT family. Based on the AMG GT R and taking advantage of the data and experience gathered from AMG GT3 and GT4 race cars, the road-legal GT R PRO is the closest to motor racing within the current Mercedes-AMG production lineup in terms of suspension, weight construction, aerodynamics, and design.
The GT R PRO features a new set of coilovers specially designed for the PRO, new apron with carbon fiber canards, air slots in the front fenders, carbon fiber aero parts on the wheel arches, carbon fiber shear panel on the underbody, and lightweight AMG five-spoke wheels to maximize stability and downforce.
Beneath the attractive long-nose-short-deck exterior lies a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine standard to the AMG GT R, with 577-hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, achieving 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 319 km/h.
