Nothing can stop the McLaren 765LT — not even the cancellation of this year’s Geneva Motor Show. While the event typically hosts the unveiling of each year’s most anticipated releases and industry-changing vehicles, the team at McLaren had to take it upon themselves to reveal their newest model. The 765LT’s carbon fiber frame is designed for unparalleled aerodynamic efficiency. The lightweight frame weighs just 2,709 lbs, 110 lbs lighter to the lightest comparable model offered by any competitor.

McLaren incorporates an airbrake function to reduce drag so the lightweight frame can get every bit of power from under the hood. A 4.0-liter V8 engine built with forged aluminum pistons relies on a revamped engine management system to produce 755 hp and 50 lb-ft of torque. McLaren pairs the engine with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission as a nod to its racing heritage and to fulfill drivers who yearn for the sensation of shifting gears. The McLaren 765LT is engineered to tear up the road, going 0 to 60 in just 2.7 seconds and taking just 7.2 seconds to reach 124 mph. It can run the quarter-mile in less than 10 seconds before reaching its top speed of 205 mph.
