Louis Vuitton, the iconic luxury fashion house, has joined forces with independent watchmaking atelier Akrivia to unveil a timepiece that redefines opulence and craftsmanship. The result of their collaboration is the Louis Vuitton x Akrivia LVRR-01 Chronographe à Sonnerie, a masterpiece that pushes the boundaries of horological excellence.
This groundbreaking timepiece is a testament to the fusion of two worlds – high fashion and haute horlogerie. The LVRR-01 is the first-ever collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Akrivia, marking a historic moment for both brands. Notably, it’s also the last watch to bear the Akrivia name on its dial, as Rexhep Rexhepi, the mastermind behind the Akrivia brand, has created a new LVRR-01 caliber exclusively for Louis Vuitton.
At the heart of this horological marvel lies a two-dial chronograph with a chiming complication and a five-minute tourbillon. Limited to just 10 pieces worldwide, each commanding a price tag of $500,000, the LVRR-01 is a collector’s dream. Its 950 platinum case, expertly crafted by the legendary Jean-Pierre Hagmann, is a work of art in itself. Hagmann, known for producing cases for renowned watch brands, has left his mark on this masterpiece with the coveted “JHP” hallmark.
Rexhep Rexhepi’s intricate design is showcased beneath a smoked sapphire dial, adorned with gold details and the iconic Louis Vuitton ‘LV’ logo. While the chronograph indications are discreetly hidden on the caseback, the watch’s audible chiming complication announces the passing minutes, adding a unique dimension to this horological marvel.
The LVRR-01 comes packaged in a custom Louis Vuitton leather trunk, complete with hand-painted motifs, making it a true collector’s item. This collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Akrivia sets a new standard for luxury timepieces, combining heritage, innovation, and artistry in a watch that is sure to become a timeless classic.
