Marvel And Disney+ Drop The New Official Trailer For ‘Loki’

Tom Hiddleston has played Loki across the MCU, starting with ‘Thor’ and serving as the main antagonist of Joss Whedon’s ‘The Avengers.’

Marvel Studios has revealed the ‘Loki’ Official Trailer for the new Disney+ series debuting June 11th. The series takes place during/after the events of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ when Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, steals the Tesseract. In the official trailer, we see Loki brought to the mysterious Time Variance Authority (TVA) after traveling through time and altering human history by using the Tesseract. In true form, Loki attempts to diminish the TVA, stating “The Time Keepers have built quite the circus, and I see the clowns playing their parts to perfection.” In his exchange with the TVA’s Mobius M. Mobius (played by Owen Wilson), Loki reminds him he not only sounds smart, he is smart.

Mobius informs Loki that when he stole the Tesseract, he broke reality, and now the TVA needs his “unique Loki perspective” to help them fix it. Despite him stabbing people in the back over 50 times in the past, he assures Mobius he can be trusted to help. Let the games begin! The cast includes Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, Richard E. Grant, Sasha Lane, and Erika Coleman. Marvel’s ‘Loki’ series is directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Kate Herron, director of a number of short films, and episodes of ‘Sex Education’, ‘Five by Five’, and ‘The Idris Takeover’ previously. The scripts are written by Michael Waldron and based on characters created by Jack Kirby, Stan Lee, and Larry Lieber.
