Now, as part of the LEGO Space rockets and vehicles series, the world’s most famous building toy has collaborated with NASA to create an Apollo Saturn V model. This package includes three removable rocket stages featuring the S-IVB third stage with the lunar lander and lunar orbiter. The set also contains three astronaut micro-figures and it stands to display your completed LEGO NASA Apollo Saturn V horizontally.
The model stands over three feet in length and is made out of 1,969 pieces – as a nod to the first manned Apollo mission to the moon on July 20, 1969. According to LEGO, the set is suitable for ages 14 and up. In addition to the instructions, this set also includes a booklet about the Apollo space missions of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
