The 2010 cinematic reboot of the science fiction/fantasy property Tron brought back much of what people loved about the 1982 original. And what did people love the most about Tron? Why, the Light Cycles, of course. The upgrades that Tron: Legacy gave the iconic Light Cycle are faithfully recreated in the newest collector set by LEGO. Using 230 pieces that build both orange and blue Light Cycles, the LEGO TRON: Legacy set also comes complete with a grid-themed display base and three minifigures from the motion picture — Sam Flynn, Quorra, and Rinzler. Each Light Cycle features a range of authentic style elements including power stream effects, which trail behind the Cycle in translucent light.
Since the announcement of the LEGO TRON: Legacy set in November of 2017, it has undergone a significant redesign under master LEGO designer Junya Suzuki, creating a final product that is much sleeker with color schemes that, according to BrickBros UK, more accurately reflect the “Tron feel.” Every set includes a booklet with a wealth of information about its designers as well as Disney’s Tron: Legacy motion picture.
