LEGO has been on a roll lately, releasing models of highly detailed vehicles, like the incredible Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Caterham Seven 620R. The latest set based on a real-world vehicle to get the LEGO treatment is the LEGO Technic BMW R 1200 GS, developed by BMW Motorrad and LEGO Technic.
The 603 piece set stays faithful to the motorcycle, recreating the characteristic lines of the bike as well as the iconic flyline-moving handlebars and adjustable windshield. Other details include a moving BMW Motorrad 2-cylinder boxer engine, as well as authentic BMW Telelever front wheel suspension and shaft drive. The model even comes with 3D assembly instructions on the interactive LEGO app. A set that will delight BMW Motorrad and LEGO fans of all ages, the LEGO Technic BMW R 1200 GS is slated to go on sale starting January 1, 2017.
