Tim Burton’s iconic 1989 film, Batman, brought a new, serious tone to the Caped Crusader. It also heralded a new look for some iconic bat-vehicles. LEGO, Warner Brothers, and DC have captured one of those vehicles in brick form. The LEGO 1989 Batwing set is full of special features and Easter eggs for enthusiasts of Batman. Look for the Joker’s gas balloons and a “Bat Engine” label to bring a smile to the face of any true fan of Gotham City’s longtime protector.
When fully built, the 2,363-piece Batwing measures 4 inches by 20 inches by 22 inches. There’s also a mounting brick to display this fan favorite, which can be mounted on the wall. The set comes with Batman, Joker and Boombox goon minifigs to replay movie scenes or start your own adventures. The LEGO set will be available for LEGO VIP members starting on October 21st and for non-members starting November 1st.
