Hitting the local halfpipe is made all the more exciting with the help of Kuickwheel’s Serpent Electric Skateboards. Whether you’re a Tony Hawk or just testing the waters, a Serpent will have you gliding and grinding in no time. Kuickwheel’s two models are portable skateboards powered by electricity that propels them to new heights. If you’re shredding or simply skating to work, the Serpents are a lot of fun.

With its 18-inch body, the Serpent-C board is billed as one of the smallest electric skateboards on the market. It’s also incredibly lightweight at a little over six pounds. It can easily be stashed away in a backpack or carted around on public transport, or stored conveniently when not in use. Its small stature might fool anyone into thinking it can’t accommodate any type of rider, but it’s still hefty enough to handle almost anyone. As far as speed goes, it tops out at 11 mph.

The Serpent-W is the brand’s more substantial offering. With a longer board base it’s more capable of powerful performance suitable for longer distances and more skilled functionality. It includes a force-sensitive remote control for steady acceleration and deceleration. The Serpent-W rolls on at about 9.4 miles for every charge, in comparison to the Serpent-C’s 6.2 miles. The model also is more adept at making it over hills with a top speed of 25 mph.

As part of a pre-production set, the boards are available via the brand’s Kickstarter site.
