Koenigsegg Regera Hybrid

As we burn through Earth’s limited resources and with environmental awareness on the rise, recently supercars are jumping on the hybrid bandwagon as well. This doesn’t mean that we’ll be seeing a high performance Prius. Following the footsteps of the LaFerrari, 918 Spyder, and the P1, the Koenigsegg Regera takes the stage at Geneva with a 5.0 liter V8 engine supported by three electric motors that propels its shapely body from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds. The 1,500 hp car can dash to a ludicrous 400 km/h in a mere 20 seconds. The Koenigsegg Direct Drive (KDD), a transmission that apparently isn’t a transmission, relays the engine’s power to the wheels with minimal loss in power. Limited to 80 examples.
