JJJJound (Montreal-based designer, curator, and creative Justin Saunders) has collaborated with British footwear and clothing brand, Dr. Martens, to produce a new Archie II shoe available for purchase beginning in late July. Customers will have the chance to purchase this unique style of shoe that combines both “contemporary” and “traditional” sensibilities. Handcrafted in England, the Dr. Martens Wollaston factory is creating two different styles of the Archie II. Both the Wyoming and Crazy Horse versions of the shoe feature a V18 outsole. The Crazy Horse style has a trans outsole and features dark, rich brown leather. Comparatively, the Wyoming style has a smoke outsole and features black leather. The dark brown leather on the Crazy Horse references the contemporary styling, while the Wyoming black leather represents classic artistry.

Finishing touches on the Archie II include a sewn-in JJJJound tab, trademark yellow welt stitching around the shoe, blind eyelets, and a dual-branded sock-liner. Each pair of shoes will come with a second pair of yellow and brown laces. The new Archie II shoes will be available on July 29th at JJJJound stores and July 31st at select Dr. Martens retailers.
