As anticipated, Apple introduced the a new smaller 4” iPhone at their event today. As the “most loved smartphone in the world,” Apple was keen on not missing out on iPhone users that prefer the smaller form factor of the iPhone 5 and 5s.

It’s called the iPhone SE, as many have already predicted, but unlike some predictions that have alluded to an updated design, the phone looks virtually unchanged from the iPhone 5s. What has changed is the hardware inside, including an A9 chip with an embedded M9 motion processor, giving you 2X the speed of the iPhone 5s. The camera has been upgraded to a 12MP iSight camera, taking advantage of the A9’s power, which enables the iPhone SE to take live photos and capture 4K video. Another stand out feature compared to the 5s is the inclusion of Apple Pay.

Orders for the iPhone SE will start on March 24, while the phone will be available starting March 31 at $399 for the 16GB version and $499 for the 64GB.
