In 2022, Hublot embarked on a creative journey with British artist and designer Samuel Ross to birth an extraordinary rendition of the Big Bang Tourbillon. The outcome was a limited edition masterpiece characterized by its vivid orange colorway and distinctive skeletonized design. Fast forward to 2023, and Hublot and Samuel Ross have reunited to unveil a new chapter in their collaboration – the Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A by Samuel Ross.
While the original piece was a vibrant orange spectacle, the SR_A edition embraces a more monochromatic aesthetic, with a gray titanium case and interchangeable straps in black, white, and neon green. The case, measuring 44mm in diameter and 13.75mm thick, retains its iconic skeletonized honeycomb-shaped frame.
Under the sapphire crystal caseback, a titanium plate complements the skeletonized structure, offering a unique backdrop for the intricate movement components. Speaking of movement, the watch is powered by the in-house Caliber HUB6035 automatic movement, boasting a tourbillon at 6 o’clock and a micro-rotor at 12 o’clock. With a 72-hour power reserve and a frequency of 21,600vph, this movement ensures precision and reliability.
The Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A by Samuel Ross comes with a quick-release rubber strap system, allowing owners to effortlessly switch between black, white, and neon green straps. With a titanium deployant clasp, comfort and style meet convenience.
This exceptional timepiece is limited to just 50 pieces worldwide and is priced at $127,000. While it maintains the same mechanical excellence as its predecessor, the SR_A edition’s refined color palette and titanium case components make it a true collector’s item. Hublot and Samuel Ross continue to push the boundaries of horological design, making the Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A a must-have for watch enthusiasts and collectors alike.
