Athletic footwear and accessory brand, HOKA, has unveiled the soon-to-be-released One One Carbon X 2 endurance racer. Geared for training and racing alike, the Carbon X 2 is an update to its predecessor, the Carbon X. The new One One Carbon X 2 has a higher stack height and provides a more cushioned feel. In addition, the rocker has been extended to improve a seamless stride. The carbon plate has been lowered to be closer to the ground to deliver a smoother transition through the gait cycle.
Following in the mold of the acclaimed Nike VaporFly 4%, this new HOKA One One offering contains an ample amount of premium lightweight cushioning with the stiff carbon fiber plate in the midsole. The HOKA Carbon X 2 employs a refined collar shape, notched tongue, and engineered mesh upper with embroidered TPU yarns and extra reinforcement around the laces. The upper TPU mesh allows breathability and rigidity in specific zones without adding an extra overlay which is better for weight and reduces the need for extra materials. The HOKA One One Carbon X 2 is available to pre-order and will be shipped starting January 1, 2021.
