Whether you’re jumping off a cliff, filming a 5K video of a child’s birthday party, or need a webcam to take a conference call, the newly-released GoPro Hero9 Black has got you covered. Slightly larger than last year’s Hero8, the Hero9 Black also has 30% more battery life and it’s the first GoPro to feature a 1.4” front facing color LCD screen, which acts as a viewfinder.
The GoPro Hero9 Black boasts other impressive features, as well. To maintain camera stability, the unit includes Hyper Smooth 3.0 with Boost which effectively smooths out the effects of going over rough terrain. The Hero9 also includes Time Warp 3.0, a feature that enables the user to adjust speeds and add audio while working with time-lapse shots. Coming in October, the Max Lens Mod will be available for $100. This will maximize both stability and will provide GoPro’s widest-angle perspective to date.
