Hidden-pillar coach doors and a lounge-like cabin give Genesis its most ambitious flagship yet.

Flagship SUVs usually express status by adding more: more chrome, more vents, more visual noise. The Genesis GV90 takes the opposite route, wrapping its considerable dimensions in surfaces inspired by the restrained curves of a Korean moon jar.

Genesis’s first full-size flagship SUV is a battery-electric production model derived from the Neolun concept. It comes in conventional GV90 form or as GV90 Neolun, whose hidden-B-pillar coach doors use dual-motion hinges to open independently of the front doors. Its four-seat Executive Suite adds motorized front seats that rotate 180 degrees while parked, turning the cabin into a face-to-face lounge.

Dual motors produce a combined 657 hp and 590 lb-ft, fed by a 123.5-kWh battery. Genesis estimates roughly 310 miles of range for the seven-seat model, while a 350-kW charger can replenish the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 22 minutes.

Multi-chamber air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and electronic limited-slip differentials at both axles manage the SUV’s scale. Inside, a 23.6-inch OLED expands to 24.6 inches when parked, while 25-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio and 15-cell massage seats continue the passenger-first logic of the G90 flagship sedan.

Genesis identifies the GV90 as a 2028 model in the United States and is accepting registrations for updates. Pricing, final U.S. specifications, and an on-sale date remain unannounced.
