Three years in the making, the highly anticipated Fear of God Athletics x adidas 2023-2024 Opening Season has finally landed, and it’s set to redefine sportswear as we know it. Jerry Lorenzo, the visionary behind Fear of God, has joined forces with adidas to create Fear of God Athletics, a collection that seamlessly blends the worlds of basketball and tailoring. This collaboration is poised to elevate athletic fashion to new heights.
According to the brand’s official release, Fear of God Athletics completes the brand architecture of Fear of God, established in 2013. This collection showcases elements from both Fear of God and ESSENTIALS lines, offering a fusion of nostalgic and futuristic styles. Oversized drill tops and track pants pay homage to NBA Tear Away pants but with a minimalist and futuristic twist.
The campaign for Fear of God Athletics carries subtle biblical undertones, echoing themes of unity and diversity in the Trinity. It features striking imagery, including a model with outstretched arms and an accompanying film where models walk on water toward three jagged mountains in the shape of The Three Stripes.
While specific clothing details remain under wraps, the debut line promises classic staples like zip-ups, sleeveless tops, jackets, performance crewnecks, and accessories. This launch follows Jerry Lorenzo’s spotted wear of the Fear of God x adidas Basketball sneaker in May.
The Fear of God Athletics x adidas 2023-2024 Opening Season represents a new chapter for adidas and Lorenzo’s streetwear house. Prices for this eagerly awaited collection start at $200, and the first round of apparel will be available on fearofgod.com starting December 3.
In anticipation of the launch, Fear of God will host The Athletics Atmosphere in Los Angeles, an immersive event from November 30 to the release date, giving fans a taste of what’s coming in this groundbreaking collaboration.
