British watchmaker Farer has once again captured the essence of impeccable design with its latest release, the Tonneau Collection. These three new watches effortlessly combine style and substance, proving that aesthetics and functionality can coexist harmoniously within a timepiece.
The defining feature of the Farer Tonneau Collection is its barrel-shaped, rounded rectangle case, merging clean lines and smooth curves seamlessly. Despite its 35mm size, the watch strikes the perfect balance between wrist comfort and a commanding presence. What truly sets this collection apart are the meticulously chosen color combinations, each inspired by the spirit of a different city: Milan, London, and Paris.
The Milan model boasts a vibrant emerald fumé dial reminiscent of the timeless sophistication of the city. Paired with polished silver batons, a stainless steel case, and a rich brown St. Venere leather strap, it exudes an urban yet refined charm. London pays homage to the Mod era of the 1970s, showcasing clean lines and a unique ridged pattern around the face. The harmonious interplay of blue, white, and red hues, along with a dark blue leather strap, exudes a timeless appeal.
Lastly, the Paris watch draws inspiration from the city’s iconic street signs, featuring a metallic royal blue face complemented by a subdued gray strap. The discreet matte-textured minute track on the brushed dial finish adds a touch of elegance, evoking the romantic rainy days synonymous with the French capital.
Each watch is powered by a modified Sellita SW300-1 Elaboré movement, visible through the exhibition glass on the rear, boasting a 56-hour power reserve. The Tonneau Collection is now available to preorder on Farer’s website for $1,250 and will ship on September 29.
