Elgato has officially launched the Facecam 4K, a next-gen webcam designed to bring pro-level streaming and content creation into more hands—without breaking the bank. Priced at just $200, the Facecam 4K delivers stunning 4K resolution at 60fps and includes features that typically come with a steeper price tag. Built around Sony’s advanced Starvis 2 CMOS sensor and paired with Elgato’s custom prime lens, this webcam is engineered for creators who crave clarity and control.

One of the standout features is support for 49mm lens filters—a first for any webcam. This allows users to attach cinematic effects like diffusion or eliminate glare using CPL filters. Elgato even throws in a free CPL filter or DSLR-style privacy cap with direct orders. You can also stack on macro, black mist, or star filters to craft a signature look for your 4K content. Although it has a fixed f/4.0 aperture, it offers 4K at 60fps or 4K HDR at 30fps, balancing fidelity with flexibility.

Manual camera settings like ISO, shutter speed, and exposure are easily adjusted through Elgato’s Camera Hub, and all preferences are stored directly on the camera—no app needed every time. With USB-C connectivity, built-in memory, Prompter hardware compatibility, and Nintendo Switch 2 support, the Facecam 4K is aimed at streamers, gamers, and prosumers alike.

Compact, versatile, and ridiculously crisp, Elgato’s Facecam 4K might just be the new gold standard in consumer-grade webcams.
