Ducati recently unveiled a new limited-edition motorcycle in the seventh episode of its Ducati World Premiere web series called the XDiavel Nera. This Ducati motorcycle is built in collaboration with Italian furniture designer Poltrona Frau to create a limited production of 500 bikes with unique design cues. The Ducati XDiavel Nera’s most notable detail is its custom, handcrafted leather saddle with a laser-engraved ‘X’ pattern.
Underneath the custom laser-engraved saddle is a Ducati twin-cylinder Testastretta DVT 1262 engine, producing 160-hp and a max 93.7 lb.-ft of torque. The engine is tuned for smooth throttle response at low revs for urban commuting and doesn’t unleash its maximum torque until 5,000 RPM. The bike’s chassis is configured with a low seat height and footpegs positioned forward to promote a relaxed riding position at low speeds. In addition, the saddle is wider and features a backrest for improved comfort. Standard safety and performance features on the Ducati XDiavel Nera include cornering ABS, Traction Control, Launch Control, and Cruise Control. Instruments are read via a 3.5-inch TFT instrument cluster. A set of Pirelli Rosso III tires wrap around the bike’s 17-inch forged aluminum wheels.
Although Ducati plans on building only 500 units of the XDiavel Nera, it will be offered in five different saddle colors from Poltrona Frau: Siam Red, Steel Blue, Concrete Gray, India Brown, and Selva Green. The rest of the bike will be painted black, as its name, with red brake calipers. In addition, the bike’s key fob and document holder are dressed in matching leather. The Ducati XDiavel Nera is currently available to order while supply lasts.
