‘Destiny 2’ Reveal Trailer

First reveal trailer for ‘Destiny 2’ gets us excited to save the universe from the brutal Red Legion. Or at least half of it.

When Destiny was first released back in 2014, the combination of first person shooter, RPG, and MMO elements made it a surprise hit, even landing it Game of the Year awards from various publications. With over $500 million made on the first day of its release, making it the biggest new franchise launch of all time, the game seemed ‘destined’ to become an all-time favorite among avid gamers. Factor in Bungie’s announcement to expand upon the gameplay with more features and stories, it seemed like there was no stopping to the success of the game.

However, the lack of a compelling storyline and features, along with grueling level-ups made the game quickly tiring and forgettable, with many players jumping ship to other games and never looking back.

That doesn’t mean that Bungie wasn’t on to something and that the franchise was at a complete loss. It obviously had captured the attention of the gaming community — all they needed was some polish and content. To that end, instead of adhering to their annual updates as planned, Bungie decided to release a sequel to the franchise sooner than expected.

The first trailer for Destiny 2 above reveals the epic journey it will take players across the solar system. The much-anticipated sequel will find players banding together to save humanity from Ghaul, the imposing commander of the brutal Red Legion.

If you’re antsy about getting your hands on a copy, Destiny 2 is slotted for a September 8, 2017 release. In the mean time, we’ll be digging up our copy of the first installment to get reacquainted with the franchise.
