Danner is releasing the aptly named Light 40th Boot in recognition of the 40th anniversary of its first boot to incorporate a Gore-Tex membrane. Like all quality-made Gore-Tex products, this limited-edition boot is waterproof and wind-resistant while remaining pleasantly breathable.
In addition to its Gore-Tex membrane, the upper of the Danner Light 40th Boot is composed of full-grain leather and 100D nylon. Its lower features a durable, gripping, and shock-absorbing Kletterlift Vibram rubber outsole and a fiberglass shank to promote additional support and stability.
Because the company knows that you’ll want to wear this boot often and for years to come, the Danner Light 40th Boot is made by hand in Portland, Oregon using stitch-down construction that facilitates extremely easy resoling. In-between sole replacements, you can keep your Danner Light 40th Boot looking great by simply wiping or brushing it clean and conditioning its leather upper as necessary.
