First Live-Action Look At ‘Cowboy Bebop’ Official Teaser “Lost Session”

Coming to Netflix on November 19th.

Today, Netflix dropped its Cowboy Bebop Official Teaser “Lost Session”, the much-anticipated Nexflix take on the beloved anime series. To date, we’ve only seen photos from Cowboy Bebop, so this is our first glimpse at the space-traveling trio of bounty hunters in action. Taking place in 2071, the series is described as “an action-packed space Western about three bounty hunters, aka ‘cowboys,’ all trying to outrun the past.” According to Netflix, the trio forms “a scrappy, snarky crew ready to hunt down the solar system’s most dangerous criminals — for the right price.”

The “Lost Session” teaser mini-episode features cowboys John Cho as Spike Spiegel, Mustafa Shakir plays Jet Black, and Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine on one of their bounties. It begins on their ship (Bebop), moves to a rooftop fight, then a street noodle vendor, followed by another scuffle in a local town. The scenes very cleverly transition via the main characters essentially throwing the frames of the video at each other. It’s great to watch and hopefully, the series will have lots of these stunning effects.

The live-action remake of Cowboy Bebop will debut on Netflix on Nov. 19th with all 10 episodes available to stream. For those interested in catching up on the original anime series, Netflix is also adding the original Cowboy Bebop anime series to its streaming service starting on October 21st.
