Chopard’s Mille Miglia luxury watches for men tie together automotive engineering and mechanical watchmaking, the result of Chopard’s co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele’s passions. Since 1988, the brand’s Mille Miglia Collection, designed to time races, features a certified high-precision mechanism and sporty design paying tribute to the golden age of motor racing. Now, Chopard has partnered with Bamford Watch Department to add to its collection with the new Mille Miglia Limited Edition.
The Chopard watch’s skeleton is a 42mm bead blasted stainless steel chronograph. With its three-counter chronograph and vintage dashboard instrument panel aesthetic, watch lovers will recognize this theme that has run through the Mille Miglia collection since it was born in 1988. Bamford’s spin on the form is evident: The case is coated in a dark grey DLC, the dial and Cordura-effect rubber strap are also a dark grey, with contrasting ‘flame orange’ stitching, and then there are the sharp ‘flame orange’ accents on the chronograph hands and accents on the sub-dial. Making the watch highly legible in low light, the Arabic numerals and baton-type hands have been painted with grey Super-LumiNova. The Chopard x Bamford Watch Department Mille Miglia Limited Edition is powered by a COSC-rated high precision automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve that can be seen through the sapphire caseback.
