Planning a trip to New York, London, or Paris? You could Google for years and never run out of tips, tricks, and must-do lists for these well-loved cities. But sometimes, you just want a simple rundown by someone with excellent taste – someone with access to locals and a proven ability to curate the most exclusive and unique experiences. The staff of Cereal want to fill that role for you.
Cereal is a biannual British journal that highlights a few travel destinations in each issue, alongside carefully curated pages about fashion, art, and design. The journal’s City Guides are special exceptions to the usual format, each focusing on a single city and all that makes it special. Each of the Cereal 2018 City Guides has (among other things) a pre-made itinerary that plots out an “ideal” day in that city, a list of the 30 most promising places to visit, and interviews and essays from notable locals. Like all Cereal publications, these guidebooks focus heavily on architecture, art, and design, whether that means recommending a one-of-a-kind souvenir or listing the city’s most interesting museums.
