Located in Puerto Escondido Oaxaca, a popular spot among tourists and surfers, Casa Cal is a Mexican seaside house with an elevated pool where you can also enjoy the panoramic views of the ocean. Designed by Mexican architectural firm Baaq, the design concept was dictated by the unique challenges presented by the location of the site, where all the views from the ground level were blocked by neighboring houses — hence the decision to elevate the pool. By keeping the public spaces elevated, the house affords privacy from the community without compromising the views of the ocean. The thatched roof adds to the beach-front vibe of the house, making it the perfect place for the residents to relax and enjoy the coastal lifestyle.
