Watchmaker Breguet has recently announced the release of the Breguet Type XXI 3815 Flyback Chronograph in Titanium. This new limited edition model marks a new chapter in the history of this iconic aviation chronograph. The Breguet Type XXI 3815 chronograph becomes the contemporary counterpart to the previous vintage style edition, the Type XXI 3817, which was unveiled in 2016. The new model features a 42mm case made of titanium, a metal known for its anti-corrosive properties and lightness on the wrist. With its finely fluted caseband that makes it easy to grip, this new timepiece is sporty in style and reinforced by a water resistance to 100 meters. A screw-down crown and a finish that alternates between polished and satin-finished surfaces distinguish this timepiece. The bidirectional bezel, also made of titanium, is fitted with a contrasting black lacquered 60-minute scale, enhancing the contemporary look of this edition.
With a choice of dial options available, buyers are able to select Arabic numerals in either luminescent green or luminescent orange. It also comes with the technologically advanced flyback function, featuring a balance spring and a silicon escapement. Finally, the Breguet Type XXL 3815 features a 24-hour indicator and small seconds at 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock respectively, not to mention the date window display at 6 o’clock. The Caliber 584Q/A is a self-winding movement with a 48-hour power reserve amassed by the swinging of a hand-decorated gold rotor. Only 250 examples of the Breguet Type XXI 3815 Titanium will be released.
