Bravur, a Swedish luxury watch brand, and Wingårdhs, a famous Swedish architecture and design firm have partnered to create the Bravur x Wingårdhs Limited Edition timepiece. Wingårdhs has interpreted Bravur’s Scandinavia watch, the brand’s most popular model, and the result is a watch inspired by Sweden’s west coast known for its fishing and seafood culture. At the dial’s center is a beautiful fish scale motif — the scales are embossed into the dial meaning they will catch light and change appearance depending on the surroundings. Within the bottom half is a flattened rectangle that houses the branding, serving as the only break in an otherwise uniform texture.
The polished steel case measures 37mm in diameter and houses a Swiss-made Sellita SW300 movement, keeping the case thickness just north of 10mm. With only 50 pieces available in each of the Light and Dark versions, this limited-edition Bravur watch strikes a balance between minimalist features and intricate flourishes, with a few hidden surprises worked into the design in a tasteful manner. This approach is summed up nicely at the dial’s bottom edge: “Swedish Soul, Swiss Heart.”
