The German aftermarket automotive tuning company Brabus has made quite a name for itself as a high-performance supercharger of Mercedes-Benz automobiles. In recent years, however, the company has set its sights on a few “smaller” projects including a completely revamped Smart Fortwo Cabrio.
Although this vehicle is small in stature, it packs an oversized punch with a 898cc turbocharged 3-cylinder engine refurbished to produce nearly 150 lb-ft of torque. This engine can propel the Brabus 125R Smart Fortwo Cabrio from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just over 9 seconds. The car is electronically limited to a top speed of 109, but considering the diminutive size of the Smart Fortwo Cabrio, this is more than fast enough!
In addition to its efforts under the hood, Brabus did quite a bit of work in the Fortwo Cabrio cockpit, outfitting it with a comprehensive performance, comfort, and aesthetic upgrades that range from customized fine leather front seats with special stitching to a black leather steering wheel with red decorative seams.
