Herschel Supply Co. has partnered with California surfwear brand Birdwell Beach Britches on a beach-ready collection of apparel and bags. The new Birdwell x Herschel Collaboration gets its inspiration from the first board shorts ever made by Birdwell 60 years ago, dubbed the ‘Birdies.’ Constructed with Birdwell’s proprietary SurfNyl, a lightweight nylon fabric with water-resistant coating, the collaborative line is made for beach days and road trips and consists of a curated selection of apparel pieces including a Birdwell Hat, Navy and Heather Grey short and long sleeve tees featuring the Birdwell “Birdie” logo, Newport Jacket, 807 Colorblock Board Short, and 311 Board Short. Each piece is finished with an internal Birdwell for Herschel Supply woven label and Herschel Supply’s classic white woven label.
The Birdwell Herschel Heritage Backpack, Alexander Zip Tote, Long Tote, and Seventeen Hip Pack round out the collection. Featuring a laptop sleeve and sunglasses compartment, the Herschel Heritage is a classic backpack style that includes a convenient internal pocket made to store surf wax. The Alexander Zip is a large weekend tote fashioned with a luggage trolley strap and reinforced carrying handles for comfortable carrying with a detachable nylon and clear PVC internal pocket. Featuring the iconic Birdwell “Birdie” logo, the Long Tote includes a convenient internal pocket for storing your surf wax and long carrying handles. Functional design details on the versatile Seventeen include a waterproof-zippered front pocket and adjustable clip-fastened strap, allowing it to be worn over the waist or the shoulder.
