Belkin, a regarded name in the world of tech accessories, has just unveiled its latest innovation, the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 Dock. This sleek and stylish MagSafe wireless charger for Apple devices is turning heads with its unique design, reminiscent of a coffee cup. The compact size makes it not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.
One of the standout features of this dock is the protruding piece of metal on the rear, which initially appears to be a handle. However, it’s a fast-charging puck designed specifically for the Apple Watch. According to Belkin, this tiny powerhouse can charge an Apple Watch Series 7 and later from zero to 80 percent in just about 45 minutes. Apple Watch Ultra models take a full hour to reach the same level of charge.
On the top of the dock, you’ll find another puck for iPhones and AirPod cases. What sets this dock apart is its versatility – the top puck can be flipped up to a 70-degree angle, turning it into a convenient smartphone stand. This feature comes in handy for various tasks, from engaging StandBy Mode on iOS 17 to holding your device upright for video calls via FaceTime.
Belkin claims that the BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 Dock can deliver up to 15W of fast charging to iPhone 12 models and later. However, it has yet to provide an estimated charging time for a fully depleted mobile device. While other charging stands may offer similar performance, they often lack Apple Watch support and the contemporary design seen in the BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 Dock. The previous BoostCharge Pro model featured a more conventional design with two plain bases connected by a metal bar, making this new model a welcome departure from the ordinary.
The BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1 Dock with MagSafe is set to hit the shelves on November 7th, with a price tag of $130. It will be available in two appealing colors, Sand and Charcoal black. Belkin sweetens the deal by including a 30W USB-C power supply and a five-foot-long braided USB-C cable with the purchase. Unfortunately, there is no word yet on an international launch, but Apple enthusiasts in the United States can look forward to upgrading their charging game with this elegant and versatile docking station.
