Some custom bikes aim for a retro vibe, others a futuristic look. While we tend to appreciate both in their own respects, we understand that sometimes it’s difficult for customizations to be moderate in either direction. The Auto Fabrica Type 18 goes the sleek, futuristic route, but in a way that you can actually take it out for a casual ride without looking like you’re riding a movie prop.
An official collaboration with BMW Motorrad, the Auto Fabrica Type 18 takes the BMW R nineT as the base and pumps it up to the next level. It features 3.50 x 17″ front and 5.50 x 17″ rear wheels with a 5-spoke design, giving it a clean, performance-driven appearance. Much of the body was 3D printed, including the headlight housing. This allows for a smoother build without the welding lines or multiple parts that other bikes would have. If you’re a fan of clean sculpts with accept points, including LED lighting and a minimalist control panel, the Type 18 is something to keep an eye out for.
