Audemars Piguet has joined forces with renowned artist KAWS to unveil the Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon “Companion,” a limited-edition watch that blends avant-garde horology with contemporary art. Limited to just 250 pieces, this 43mm titanium masterpiece is an artistic reimagining of the Royal Oak Concept, featuring KAWS’s iconic Companion character at its core. With time moved to the dial’s periphery, the miniature 3D Companion steals the show beneath a sapphire crystal, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship with sunburst textures and luminescent accents.
Powered by the Audemars Piguet in-house hand-wound Caliber 2979, the watch marries intricate mechanics with bold design. Its hour and minute hands, mounted on peripheral wheels, glow blue in the dark, complementing the luminescent titanium inner bezel. The tourbillon, visible on the dial side, forms the beating heart of the Companion figure, further uniting art and engineering.
The titanium case features KAWS’s signature X motif across sandblasted and satin-brushed surfaces. A display case back reveals intricate engravings and black PVD-treated titanium bridges inspired by the artist’s playful designs. Two calfskin straps with quick-release functionality make it a versatile yet sophisticated choice.
Priced at $225,000, the Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon “Companion” is more than a watch—it’s a wearable art piece that pushes the boundaries of design and craftsmanship, making it a must-have for collectors and connoisseurs alike.
