The new MacBook Air kicked off the Apple event held today at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York.
With a thinner bezel, the new MacBook Air sports the greatly enhanced 13.3” Retina display with 17% less volume than its predecessor. It’s also 10% thinner, weighing in at 2.75 lbs (0.2 lbs lighter).
Upgraded third-generation keyboard and the large Force Touch trackpad provide industry-leading typing and track experience. And every MacBook Air is made from 100% recycled aluminum, making it the greenest Mac ever.
You can unlock your MacBook Air or authenticate password-protected documents with fingerprint Touch ID embedded in the keyboard, which also enables easier third party purchases using Apple Pay. This is supported by the super secure T2 Security Chip.
Other specs include 8th generation dual core i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB SSD, and two Thunderbolt 3 ports.
Available in 3 colors, the new MacBook Air starts at $1,199 and will be available on November 7th.
