Apple unveiled a high performance Mac for pro users, and it’s unlike anything you’ve seen from Apple. The first thing you notice is the frame. The Mac Pro adopts a unique stainless steel space frame that functions as handles and feet, giving you 360-degree access to the interior, and the dual side logic board makes it easy to configure and expand your machine. The vented aluminum cover and three impeller fans maximize airflow and keep it quiet.
It’s also got the potential for power, with up to 28 cores of Intel Xeon, up to 1.5TB of memory (with 6 channels of ECC and 12 physical DIMM slots), and 8 PCI Express expansion slots. This modular construction makes it easy to upgrade components and configure the workstation to you suit your exact needs, very much like a PC.
