Noted Swiss watchmaker Alpina celebrates its rich heritage with the launch of the Alpiner Heritage Carrée Mechanical 140 Years. This exquisite timepiece pays homage to the brand’s legacy while incorporating modern elements that appeal to discerning watch enthusiasts. With its sleek rectangular case, impeccable craftsmanship, and vintage-inspired design, the Alpiner Heritage Carrée is set to captivate watch aficionados worldwide.
Alpina offers two variants of the Alpiner Heritage Carrée. The silver dial version (AL-490SA3C10) features dark numbers and leaf hands, exuding an art deco aesthetic. On the other hand, the black dial version (AL-490BA3C10) boasts beige aged numerals and hands, giving it a cleaner and more vintage-inspired look.
The Alpina Alpiner Heritage Carrée features a polished silver 2-part rectangular case, measuring 29.5mm by 35.7mm, and boasts an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, ensuring optimal visibility. Its dial showcases printed Arabic numerals and is complemented by hour, minute, and small second hands. The timepiece comes with a light brown ostrich leather strap, adding a touch of sophistication.
One of the standout features of the Alpiner Heritage Carrée is its mechanical movement, the caliber 490. Though not an in-house movement, this restored Staub & Co. movement from the 1930s, with its 42-hour power reserve and 17 jewels, brings a sense of nostalgia and charm to the watch. The hand-finishing on the bridges is exquisite, visible through the engraved see-through case back.
Limited to just 28 pieces (14 for each variant), the Alpiner Heritage Carrée Mechanical 140 Years is a true collector’s item. Priced at $5,395, this timepiece blends classic design with modern reliability, making it a must-have for watch enthusiasts who appreciate the perfect fusion of heritage and innovation.
