Luxury watchmaker, A. Lange & Söhne, has introduced its new Zeitwerk Honeygold “Lumen” watch, which is limited to 200 pieces available exclusively at A. Lange & Söhne boutiques. The Zeitwerk was first released in 2009 and is considered one of the most innovative horological masterpieces ever made. When the Zeitwerk was introduced, it created a stir because it did away with the usual hands and markers dial arrangement in favor of a bold digital display for hours and minutes.
Now, A. Lange & Söhne has launched its all-new Zeitwerk Lumen which boasts three notable feats from the watchmaker, all wrapped into one: the Zeitwerk mechanical complication that uses three “jumping” disks to showcase the time in digital format, a proprietary Honeygold 41.9mm case, and the exclusive luminescence known as Lumen. The warmly hued Honeygold material has also been used for the power reserve and subsidiary seconds hands as well as the watch’s strap buckle. Also new is the upgraded movement that gives the Zeitwerk Honeygold “Lumen” 72 hours of power reserve, which is twice that of the original. This handsome timepiece includes a quick-set button at the four o’clock position that enables the hour indication to be adjusted separately from the minutes, which are changed via the crown.
The A. Lange & Söhne Zeitwerk Honeygold “Lumen” has a stunning black rhodium-plated german silver three-quarter main plate with a dark sapphire crystal dial coated with anti-reflective material. The new caliber, with its hand-engraved balance and wheels, boasts a whopping 462 parts and can be observed via the transparent sapphire case back. Each of the 200 watches is engraved with its limited-edition number.
