Italian fashion brand Stone Island has unveiled its latest collection of sneakers under its 78FW Footwear Program. The collection includes three unique designs inspired by various subcultures and cultural icons, each with a distinct style.
The 78FWS0101 model takes inspiration from both ‘70s retro and military sneakers, featuring debossed Stone Island Compass logos, artisanal topstitches, and a tinted transparent upper outsole. The shoe is available in Dark Beige, Ivory, and Black.
The 78FWS0202 model is a Stone Island interpretation of a retro soccer style, celebrating the brand’s philosophy of monochromatic color and material blends. The upper features a multi-yarn mesh combined with fused transparent and solid synthetic skins, full-grain leather, suede, industrial brushed rubbers, and embossed finishes. It is available in Ivory and Black.
The 78FWS0303 model is inspired by silhouettes celebrated by the UK’s Grime culture and features a premium manmade upper, reinforced molded military toe cap, and a tactical articulated outsole. The upper also boasts a glitch-effect print motif of the Stone Island Compass logo. This model is available in Turquoise, Pistachio Green, and Sky Blue.
Stone Island’s research and development path in the world of footwear takes the subcultural strands of the brand as a reference. The brand has chosen to define its stylistic playground by investigating some of these cultural icons and iconic models. The sneakers are priced between $403 and $488 and are available for purchase now.
