Stone Island just dropped its premier footwear collection — the 77FW Stone Island Footwear Program capsule, featuring three sneakers that pay homage to soccer and the UK’s Rock and Grime music scene. First up in the new collection is the S0101, with a classic low-cut design reminiscent of ‘70s retro sneakers combined with military trainers. The S0101 features an upper made from polished and soft suede leather. Stone Island says the topstitching, debossed compass logos, and premium gum rubber outsole are a nod to the rock music community.
Next up is the soccer-inspired S0202 sneakers. Stone Island says the S0202 sneakers found their inspiration in evergreen soccer styles and industrial brushed rubber and embossed finishes. These sneakers celebrate the iconic Stone Island philosophy of incorporating monochromatic colors and materials. The sneaker’s upper features metallic ripstop nylon and polished and soft suede leather. The final silhouette in the 77FW Stone Island Footwear Program – the Grime S0303 sneakers – celebrate the UK’s Grime culture with details like an artisanal stitched nylon fabric and a molded rubber tongue.
All three sneakers in the Footwear Program feature eyelets and lace tips referencing Stone Island’s iconic black metal trims. Each new silhouette fits the Stone Island culture of research, experimentation, and usability, philosophies that have defined the brand since 1982. The 77FW Stone Island Footwear Program is available online.
