The larger front grille is the most apparent change to the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS in addition to redesigned tail lights featuring three distinct blocks. New features include more paint colors like Twilight Blue metallic and MANUFAKTUR Alpine Grey. In addition, the 2024 GLS63 and GLS500 can be optioned with forged 23-inch wheels and red-painted brake calipers offered for the GLS63.
Mercedes-Benz also introduced new leather options: Catalana Beige, Bahia Brown/Black, Crystal White, Silver Gray Pearl, Mahogany Brown, and Macchiato Beige. In addition, new interior trim options include Brown Linden Wood and MANUFAKTUR Piano Lacquer Flowing Lines, an option formerly exclusive to the Maybach.
Other interior features include a new steering wheel with touch controls and the latest MBUX infotainment system. However, AMG models gain an exclusive digital display design layout. Standard features added to the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS include automatic high beams, a panoramic sunroof, a performance exhaust, and heated/ventilated front seats.
Powertrains for the 2024 GLS450 and GLS580 receive a performance bump. The GLS450 output increases from 362 to 375 hp and 483 to 510 hp for the GLS580. Moreover, an Off-Road Engineering package is available for the GLS580. The AMG variant gains a revised air suspension that can raise the SUV by an additional 1.2 inches to improve ground clearance.
